Wisconsin has plant protection regulations in place known as
quarantines to stop the introduction of invasive plant pests and diseases into the state, and to prevent them from spreading within the state. In general, nursery stock and other plant products arriving in Wisconsin must have a certificate from plant health authorities in the state of origin verifying that the material is free of harmful plant pests and diseases. Importing invasive plant species also is generally prohibited.
